There are many circles of which people regularly sit some of which may be a home circle. It is always preferable to have a medium who can actually link in with others when working with Spirit, as this helps the beginner.
An awareness circle is a must for those who are working towards any form of mediumship. This is taken in such a way that a clear definition can be seen between psychic and Spirit messages. The psychic works on the energies given off by the material body (incarnate) and the Spirit comes from those in the Spirit World without a material body (discarnate). Carne the French word meaning meat. If the awareness circle is split into 2 weeks it is easier for the student to understand the difference.

From the awareness circle people then may wish to join a development circle in which they will sit on a weekly basis, where, the group will in time blend their energies working with both the psychic and Spirit to develop their senses. During this time if 1 or more show potential they could join an advanced circle where they could take part in church readings. Inspirational speaking, writing or drawing could also be used in many different ways.
Open circles within a centre or church may also be held this giving the general public an opportunity to see what trainee mediums actually do when developing. Mock services can also be held with each member taking part, chairing, reading, giving an address or prayer, then some taking part in the mediumship.
There are also trance circles where this requires a trance medium. This is not mental mediumship but, physical where the body of the medium is used by spirit to bring forward Spirit manifestations. In this type of circle the sitters are willing to give of their energies to the medium and not necessarily sit for themselves.

Whichever circle chose to sit this needs dedication and requires commitment as our friends within Spirit work hard to blend with our energies ever helping with our development.
